As President and CEO of HumanWorks Affiliates, Inc., I would like to welcome you to our website. HumanWorks Affiliates, Inc., for 30 years has been providing supports to children and youth, people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, the socially disadvantaged, and more recently to other service providers as a management company providing: Information Technology, Staff Development, Financial Management, General Corporate Management, Consultation, Human Resources, Payroll, and Corporate Services.

History

Founded in 1993 by President and CEO, Dr. Nathaniel J. Williams, HumanWorks Affiliates (formerly known as Spectrum Services) is a 501(c) nonprofit organization that evolved from a strategic plan to expand the services of the former Foundation for Progressive Living and incorporate additional programs based on recognized community needs.

Mission

Our mission is to provide quality and individually based services to persons with mental disabilities, children and youth, the disadvantaged, and other under-served populations with the desire to help people “Reach Their Potential” and empower them to “Build a Brighter Tomorrow”. We implement our mission through hiring and continuously training a staff that is professional, caring, and committed to supporting those whom we serve.

HumanWorks Affiliates consists of seven affiliate corporations: ChildFirst Services, Inc., LifeKnow, Inc., ChildPromise, Inc., Phoenix Services, Inc., Spectrum Community Services, Inc., FunWorks, Inc., and Spectrum Social Services, Inc.
